Going North or South along the coast, you have to travel along  a well maintained gravel road. To Tanga which is the next big town it will take less than one hour's drive.

An extra entrance which forms a part of the property goes down from the main road for a couple of hundred meters through the coastal bush till you reach the pictured entrance of "Continental drift" - karibu!

One of the first positive attributes every visitor will recognize at once is the lush and dense vegetation of the property. This photograph was taken from top of the  water tank of the resort. Nearby this place is the sweet water well which supplies fresh water to the whole compound.

Finally after having crossed the whole property 180 meter long beach stretch appears. A couple of sun shades provides provides comfort while resting on handmade deckchairs. The big shade on the left is the bar which belongs to the swimming pool behind.

Well placed in between the coconut palms, but free of danger of falling coconuts, the 10 cottages offer a good time for a maximum of 40 guests.

Local material decorates the inside as well as outside and therefore a moquito net is essential. The picture displays a double room to which an extra bed can be added. The other type of cottage is much bigger and offers space for 5 to 6 people.

Even in the bathroom the local palm leave patches are used inorder to remain in the traditional style to maintain a good climate.

The plot offers a lot for additional construction or other activities. A football and a volley ball field are also part of the compound. Even if you decide to go  farming or to produce your own vegetable, the space is there!

180 meters is contained on both sides provides by secure and harmonous neighbourhood.

Although some off the staff is come from the neighbourhood, the compound has 13 rooms for the staff that is living on the compound.

Very good international food comes out of this kitchen as the MyBeach team has appreciated during the two days visit o the resort. The kitchen is fully equipped and ready to provide up to 70 restaurant guests with what their hearts desire.

 

Here lives the owner. As the next picture proves, this is one of the top locations of the property with a tremendous view from the veranda.

Overlooking the garden and the Indian Ocean while sitting on the owners terrace and while sipping your drink. Good landscaping with well pruned trees and shrubs makes the garden resemble a golf course.

 

Stay active and do something. The offer activities  are many as varied: Snorkeling, fishing and further boats tours by the own local Dhow. Game watching in the nearby Sadani National park, transfers to Pemba or Zanzibar, shopping in Tanga and historical excursion to the nearby Pangani town.

Before you go to explore the surroundings you should relax on the beach under the palms and let the time pass. The well trained staff will take care of you in order to provide the guest a convenient and very comfortable stay with very competitive prices. There is still so much unexploited potential in maritime sports like kiting, surfing, kayaks, etc. - be the first!

Reachable by public transport via Tanga or direct via one of the landing strips around Pangani, the beautiful landscape surrounding this area makes it always worth a visit to "Continental drift". Expatriates from Arusha are used to visit this coastline via weekends.
