DESELA

shore

Finally a spot on the mainland from where you can watch the sunset nearly above the Indian Ocean. Quiet waters with no erosion protected by a preceding peninsular and a full sandy sea bottom are making this property suitable for all water sport activities - there are only a few places with features like this along the Tanzanian 'mrima' coast.

Due to the fantastic water features, the water remains even at low tide 2 to 3 meters deep. This means boating and swimming non-stop!

Every square meter at this shore is worth to have accommodation for you and your guests due to the gorgeous view and breeze. This picture was shot during the dry season at high tide. On the horizon the proceeding peninsula can be recognized and in between a few small islands which are making the scenery much more exciting.

Best the dimension of the plot can be recognized on this aerial picture. Keep privacy on the beach front and along the slope of the coastal hill while placing servant quarters, parking and workshop in the back of the plot.

The photograph was taken during the raining season at low tide from the edge of the light slope which runs parallel towards the coastline in the middle of the plot. Here you have the most beautiful view to the lagoon. The non-stop deep water facilities are making this location to  be one of the best anchorage places on the Tanzanian mainland coast. Now it is neap tide and very soon the high tide is coming in from the left hand side and it will cover the sandbanks in a short time It never gets boring in a location like this. After crossing the lagoon channel the peninsula can be reached by foot - don't go too far and come back right in time!

Back from work. The fresh fish supply never ends. With the coming high tide the fisher man are returning with the strong side current into the lagoon.

180 meters of sandy beach! Go into the water without any fear to hurt your feet - full sandy sea bottom till the 1,5 kilometer far away peninsula. This lagoon is not only made for business or skippers, even all ages can have the best fun with almost all different kinds of water sport activities.

In between cashew, mango and coconut trees is sufficient shadow to rest free of any sweat, but the preferred location remains the top of the coastal hill, because it offers the best view and catches the most breeze.

You have just crossed the lagoon and you face the 180 meter beach frontage while it is low tide. A good place to spot the coastal hill and to decide where to build what on the property.

Less than 3 kilometers is the tarmac road away and from there you reach Dar after 50 kilometers in about 45 minutes. The topographical map displays the well protected location of the lagoon.

Certainly the biggest part of "Desela shore" is located above the slope. Here everybody finds sufficient space for all different kinds of project requirements while not touching the peace and tranquillity of the lower beach land.

On the site plan it is shown that the beacons are placed 60 meters from the high water mark level land inwards. Taking also this un-surveyed land into consideration, the 2 hotel properties would be 10 acres in size.

A place to stay. Rustic and simple, but therefore located directly on the beach. This 3-room house is part of all 3 constructions which are placed all over the two plots. Definitively it is worth to extend this house towards a much more convenient facility. Come and have a look!
