DIVERS

lodge

Coming home from a exiting day trip to one of the world best diving site "Misali" or from the historical town of Mokoani on the other side of bay of Pemba, Zanzibar's Northern sister island, the diver has to decompensate and relax fully, before doing other sport activities in the interior of this interesting area.

Although the lodge is only a few kilometers away from the airport, the feeder road is an unforgettable experience through forest and plantations of clove trees.

Eventually the visitor reaches on the last coastal hill from the upper road to the sea spot and can recognize the palms of the property from far away.

Sandy flatlands are indicating the beginning of the beach property. This picture displays the entrance from where the servant houses are placed on the invisible left hand side before entering the hotel compound.

Huge 'makuti' roof construction is covering the entrance area to the hotel. The photograph was taken as the hotel was not yet operating!

Under the trees the guests find a cool and comfortable place to plan further activities.

In the restaurant as well as in the seminar facility many guests can be entertained for different festivities while enjoying sea breeze and view.

Do not sit too long in the restaurant while the sea goes by. This is a location for activities!

Watching the sunset in East Africa above the Indian Ocean is another clear plus point for the West coast of this idyllic and peaceful island.

Brilliant gardening around the sixteen bungalows ensures a peaceful atmosphere on the whole compound.

'Karibu' means welcome! 6 chalets have each 2 double rooms and additionally there are 2 other cottages which are designed for an entire family visit. But if you need more, there is still some open space with direct lagoon view for your individual construction needs.

16 rooms of the hotel are all strictly kept in the Swahili design and architecture. Therefore all rooms have the high Zanzibar beds with mosquito nets and a high ceiling decorated by logs.

Lack of infrastructure and good accommodation facilities are with no doubts a disadvantage for the development of the tourism sector, but on the other hand it is a unique opportunity to go into an already well designed hotel. Nevertheless the competitors on the island can be counted on one hand!

Pemba is much hillier and lushier than its bigger neighbour island Zanzibar in the South and it is as cleft as Finland. The fasted access is still the 15 minutes flight from Zanzibar, because the 60 kilometer passage from the mainland by traditional 'dhow' is subject to the fast changing weather conditions.

Fjords in Finland are similar to the coastline of the island and therefore sandy beaches are also scattered very seldom. But in between the hilly mangrove coast are  a few untouched genuine pockets of beaches and the "Divers lodge" is on one of them! Keep in mind that Pemba belongs to the first best ten diving sites in the world!

More than 250 meters full sandy beach are stretching along this 7 acre beach hotel property. Space for expansion is still there on the plot at the South end and of course in the back parts of the property.

Be the first following one very successful luxury hotel entrepreneur who has made Pemba and in particular this lagoon a famous and unforgotten island experience for many visitors from all around the world. Here your offer your guests exclusivity and peace in a pristine and friendly environment.
