TROPIC

reef

Located at the very last sandy beach point South of Dar es Salaam, this place is the most Southern, peaceful and untouched long beach stretch you can find nearby Dar. Charakterized by its very destinctive features like valleys, slopes, rocks and plateaus the property offers to be a very interesting spot for construction - let it be for residences or for business; it is unique!

At end of the cape you can enjoy the gorgeous view over the sea. At low tide remains enough water for having fun by boat or swimming. In the preceding reef is a door where the boats can pass - see the topographical map as well as the aerial picture below.

Smaller than the other fertile valley in the middle of the property at the Northern end of "Tropic reef" is a sweet water lagoon where this property shares the border line.

Here a top view on the vegetation of the upper middle part of Tropic reef. The northern valley can not be seen well, therefore this picture reaches at the southern sandy parts of this very long beach.

North at the border line is the sweet water lagoon you can get sweet water for the purpose of irrigation.

Lots of rocks at the beach are protecting the cape in the middle of the property. Do not forget to book our team on a site visit, so that you will discover all important features as well as the whole location of the property.

It is a well kept garden at the spit of the upper land. At its top end is the beach hut located from where you have a stunning view.

Built as a shed this hut protects you from catching sunburn, because staying in the steady refreshing sea breeze you might not feel the sun anymore.

Shot from the Southern beach line, this photograph gives a good side view on the higher located plateau with its rocky cape in front. The property starts there where a beach can be recognized on the left hand side and it stretches till behind the cape where the lagoon starts.

Much better is the point of view from the upper hut to the lower land. Half of this beach belongs to "Tropic reef".

Especially on the plateau giant baobab trees, coconut palms mango trees are beautifying the property and give sufficient shadow for visitors.

Relaxation for the eyes is waiting for the one who just watches the tide coming in and covering the sand bank or vice versa. Or just watch the interesting formations of the spectacular waves at the preceding reef. There is a kind of gate at the reef where fishermen boats are passing even at low tide in order to anchor safely a bit South of the river.

Perfect location: A bit more than one kilometer off the main road and only a few hundred meters Southwards at a creek all skippers can anchor their boat directly on the main land! In the left corner of the aerial picture is the passage in the reef for the boats. The photograph gives a slight idea of the different parts of the property: The sweet water lagoon, the plateau and the slopes down to the lower lands.

Roughly of 10 acre in size and 340 meters beachfront are the outcome of the property survey.

Only after 45 kilometers South of Dar es Salaam you will reach this peaceful place. It is a bit more than 1 kilometer located of the well maintained gravel road which is passable all through the year. The map shows this well protected location with its boat entrance in the preceding reef and the mouth of the river where local fishermen find their anchorage. For all fishermen it is good to know that only about 40 kilometers off the coast is one of the country's richest areas of fish - Lathum!
